Intern can arrange for academic credit with his/her institution/department. Effective program marketing is a key component to secure funding to strengthen and expand our existing programs. We are looking for a marketing intern to take the lead in developing a marketing and communication strategy for the Community Health Division programs. We are looking for seniors or graduate students in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or Journalism with experience in any of the following: 1) Mail/E-mail Campaigns 2) Brochures/Product Sheets 3) On-line Marketing 4) Event Coordination/Planning 5) Press Releases This is an ideal opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate student looking for academic credit (Minimum 3.0 GPA). This is an unpaid internship for the Spring semester, but it will give you invaluable professional experience. *Key Responsibilities* * Develop a marketing plan for each of the Community Health Division Programs, which includes, but is not limited to, the following: o An updated mission statement, tag line and logo o Effective use of a branding strategy to increase program visibility on campus and in the community o A communication strategy (press releases, brochure, PR packet, circulation route for program documents and mechanism to establish media contacts) o Integration of new and innovative technology such as blogs and podcasts * Work with Program Coordinator to identify program gaps and propose current technologies/solutions to address needs * Develop relationships with relevant internal team members to efficiently gather information needed for marketing campaigns and projects *Required qualifications:* Applicants should be hard working, enthusiastic, resourceful and able to manage multiple tasks.
