Personal Statement about APHA-SA:
I am looking forward to transitioning into my role as Secretary Elect of the student assembly (SA) this 2007-2008 academic year. I first learned of the SA when I began receiving e-mails around the time of the 2006 annual meeting. Since then, I have remained impressed with the breadth and quality of the materials distributed. Having been a secretary in several other organizations I knew that getting involved with this talented, dynamic group was the perfect way to blend the skills acquired in previous roles with my passion for public health while being given the opportunity to network with my up-and-coming colleagues and those already out in the field. Iím excited to begin working with and serving you to the best of my ability over the next two years as a member of the SA executive board, and I thank all of you for the opportunity to do so. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have.
