Thank You for your interest in the APHA Student Assembly (APHA-SA), the nation's largest student-led organization dedicated to supporting students, the next generation of public health professionals. APHA-SA membership entitles you to take advantage of all our great programs and initiatives and adds value to your APHA student membership*. As a APHA-SA member, we encourage you to get involved and help us prepare students for an exciting career in public health. Please choose the membership type most appropriate for you below.

All APHA student members are automatically APHA-SA members.

Not interested in becoming an APHA member right now, but want to be a APHA-SA member only? That's OK! Although we encourage you take advantage of all APHA's great services and benefits by becoming a member, individual memberships to APHA-SA may be purchased as well. APHA-SA memberships of this type do not include APHA membership benefits (e.g., subscriptions to the Nation's Health and American Journal of Public Health) or meeting discounts, etc.

Persons enrolled full time (a minimum of 9 credit hours) in a college or university who are actively pursuing a degree in the health field. Proof of status from the Registrar's office verifying full-time status is required to process your application. Part-time students, post doctoral candidates and others that cannot meet these requirements may be eligible for the discounted Special Health Worker Membership.

*All APHA student members are automatically APHA-SA members. Please note: Students who do not want to take advantage of APHA-SA will be able to opt out of their membership. Please the Membership Co-Chairs at if you wish to opt out of your APHA-SA membership.

Persons employed in community health whose annual salary is less than $30,000 or the equivalent for foreign nationals. This membership category may also include part-time students. Verification from employer is required.
